AUTWX53.ZIP 61922 03-31-95 AutoWx 5.3 accepts weather data from the
| Ultimeter II weather station and makes the
| data available on packet by direct connect
| requests and/or via automatic beacons in APRS
| beacon format. The program will log and
| display weather data, display high and low
| temperatures and high wind with the time of
| day, continuously read Ultimeter II data port
| to show highest wind speed for each 5 minute
| interval, log weather beacons from other
| AutoWx or APRS stations, create an ASCII text
| file showing highs and lows for the date, and
| serve as a simple packet terminal program.
| The program assumes you are using COM1 and
| COM2 serial ports and that the Ultimeter II
| is connected to one, the TNC to the other.
| (Les Blalock) (Reg.Fee: $0)
PREDICTO.ZIP 301487 01-04-80 Predictor 1.3 forecasts the weather based on
| data you enter. Predictor has tables for
| determining wind chill factors, heat indexes
| and wind speed and a data base for daily
| weather information. Requires 3MB disk space.
| (D. Ellis) (Reg.Fee: $40)
QUIKSKY.ZIP 515411 06-08-95 Quick-Sky 4.8 will give a brief synopsis of
| the weather conditions for various locations
| in the US and Canada. It supports hourly raw
| data which can be downloaded from the AWX
| section of CompuServe. (Paul Duperre)
| (Reg.Fee: $7-10)
RELHUM.ZIP 22324 02-13-96 Relative Humidity Calculator 1.2a displays
| the relative humidity from a given
| temperature and dew point in fahrenheit. (Dan
| Sealy) (Reg.Fee: $0)
TIDES.ZIP 227466 10-21-94 Tides 3.05 predicts the height of the tide or
| the strength of the tidal current at various
| stations. Detailed predictions are made for
| high and low water (or maximum ebb and flood)
| at reference stations for which the tidal
| constants have been derived from observations
| made over a long period of time. Output can
| be directed to a printer or a disk file. The
| method and format followed in the predictions
| are generally those used by the National
| Ocean Service (NOS) in the standard tide and
| current tables. NEW: finds extreme heights
| or currents and allows extended time spans.
| (Edward P. Wallner) (Reg.Fee: $15)
TIDES11.ZIP 120291 11-29-94 Tide 1.1 calculates tidal heights and tidal
| current velocities for any time series from
| 1582 through the 21st century. The program
| presents the user with a calendar for
| selecting beginning and ending times for the
| time series. A graphic plot of the series may
| then be displayed and printed. Routines are
| available for changing stations, viewing
| individual constituents, saving data to a
| disk file, viewing max-min times and values,
| setting program defaults, and creating user
| defined stations. Requires DOS 5.0+, VGA,
| 640K RAM, and any printer supported by the
| DOS graphics driver. (Paul L. Gay) (Reg.Fee:
| $25)
WCHILL.ZIP 19716 03-25-94 WChill 1.0 is a simple wind chill calculator.
| C source is included. (Mendel Cooper)
| (Reg.Fee: $0)
WEATHER.ZIP 83940 01-31-94 Weather will display records stored in a
| weather database and will give calculated
| statistics regarding rainfall, low
| temperature, time of low temperature, high
| temperature, time of high temperature and
| atmospheric pressure. (Martin E. Morrison)
| (Reg.Fee: $10)
WEATHERB.ZIP 94557 12-16-93 WeatherBase 8.0 allows you to enter
| information, such as wind speed and
| direction, sky conditions, temperature, and
| humidity. It will then use this information
| to make a weather prediction. Weather
| information can also be saved in a database
| for study and comparison. (Eldon De Hart)
| (Reg.Fee: $20)
WEATHR.ZIP 506454 02-13-95 WeatherGraphix 4.01 plots high-resolution
| weather graphic charts using information from
| the National Weather Service. It can be a
| useful tool for pilots, storm chasers, and
| weather enthusiasts. The program will display
| a base map of North America on which you can
| overlay various sets of data. The map can be
| modified to enhance coastline, add highways,
| county lines, air routes, etc. Data
| regarding sky conditions, temperature,
| dewpoint, sea level pressure, and wind can be
| displayed graphically, as well as color coded
| radar, complete with legend and airport
| codes. The program also decodes FDHI/FDLO
| upper-air reports, widely used by pilots, to
| plot upper air wind charts. WeatherGraphix
| can be used with almost any raw data from any
| database, including services offered by
| Compuserve, AccuWeather, Contel DUAT, and
| Weathermation. Requires 1M of disk space.
| (Tim Vasquez) (Reg.Fee: $45)
